My motivation

This November, I’m taking on the challenge of walking or running 60 km to support mental health projects and raise awareness on a crucial issue: mental health and suicide prevention. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), close to 800,000 people die by suicide each year—that’s one person every 40 seconds. In many countries, men are nearly three times more likely than women to die by suicide, with men accounting for around 75% of all suicides in high-income countries . These figures aren’t just statistics—they represent lives lost, families changed, and communities in need of stronger support.

My goal is to raise 1,500 DKK for mental health initiatives, and any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact. But more importantly, I hope to spark more conversations and understanding around mental health struggles. Every step of this challenge is a step toward breaking stigma and showing others they’re not alone.
