My motivation

I support Movember and their struggle to make mens mental health and suicide prevention a topic which men can talk openly about.

I do so because i’ve been struggling with mental health issues almost my entire life. These issues have had a substantial effect on everything from my relations with other people, my worklife and my freetime. Would i have had these issues my entire life if I had felt that I could be open about these issues? Would I have them if I had received the help I desperately needed? I firmly believe that this is not the case. I can’t rewrite my past, but I have a chance to write my future and the future of my children. I can do this by being open about my feelings, not pressuring myself too far and (most importantly) don’t give a s*** about what other people think of me. This is a proces that may go on forever, but it’s a fight I’m willing to take. Especially for my children. I would love it if they were to grow up in a world where it is okay to be sad, where it is okay to cry and where it is okay to be whoever one wish to be.

So please donate to Movember, me and every single man who is struggling or potentially will be struggling.
